Non - standard Chain Applications in The Regulation Requirements

Non-standard chain when using clean oil in some places or to pay attention.   First, when we are in the non-standard chain cleaning, can not use strong alkali or strong acid cleaning agents, such as rust remover can not be used, because these chemicals easily lead to damage to the chain, broken.   The second to avoid the use of oil and other organic solvents, because it will damage the environment, but also the bearing parts of the lubricating oil washed away.   The third for the non-standard chain between the dirt dirt, with a brush to clean, if necessary, we can also match the temperature of soapy water to clear the accumulation of dirt.   Non-standard chain in the practical application of the requirements of the elastic, not too loose nor too tight, then, we give you explain the non-standard chain can not be too tight requirements.   Non-standard chain will be in the vice axis and the rear wheel buffer between the body to form a larger compulsive moment, under the influence of this moment, the bearing characteristics of the task was destroyed, single-sided force larger, easy to heat damaged. Even if not damaged, will be formed in a shorter time the gap increases. Bearing clearance increases, the vice axis of the task is linearly destroyed, needle roller bearings will soon be damaged, and more serious is that the damage will be transferred from the non-standard chain gear to the gearbox. In the installation must be adjusted before use.

The Application Scope of Sprockets

The Application Scope of Sprockets

1.Sprocket tooth profileThe sprocket tooth profile must ensure that the chain can smoothly enter and exit engagement, minimize the impact and contact stress of the chain links during engagement, and be easy to manufacture. The commonly used sprocket end face tooth profile consists of three arcs aa, ab, cd and a straight line bc, known as the three arcs-straight line tooth profile. The tooth profile is machined with standard tools, and there is no need to draw the end face tooth profile on the sprocket working drawing, just indicate “tooth profile according to GB1244-85; ANSI B29.1-86; JIS B1802-89; DIN 8192-87 standards” on the drawing, but the sprocket axial tooth profile should be drawn, with dimensions referenced from relevant design manuals.   2.Sprocket constructionCommonly used sprocket constructions include integral type for small diameter sprockets, spoked type for medium diameter sprockets with holes in the spokes for easier handling, mounting, and weight reduction, and modular type for large diameter sprockets, where the tooth ring and hub can be made of different materials such as stainless steel.   3.Sprocket materialSprocket materials should ensure that the tooth has sufficient strength and wear resistance, so the sprocket tooth surface is usually heat-treated to achieve a certain hardness.A chain drive consists of a driving sprocket, a driven sprocket, and a closed loop chain running around both sprockets to transmit motion and power through the engagement between the chain and sprocket teeth.A sprocket is a wheel with teeth designed to mesh with precise pitch blocks on link rings or cables: a solid or spoked gear that engages with (roller) chains to transmit motion.Currently, sprocket products are most suitable for a wide range of applications including, but not limited to, use in variable speed systems, commonly found in mechanized transportation vehicles and mechanical equipment. Applications in this category primarily involve driving and other aspects related to speed, such as industrial gearboxes, vehicle wheel drive systems, etc.

Sprocket Applications

Sprocket Applications

From a literal perspective, chain sprockets are used for chain drives, while gears are used for toothed transmissions. The main differences between them are as follows:   1.The international standard measurement units differ, with chain sprockets using imperial units and gears using metric units.   2. Chain sprockets are suitable for long-distance transmissions, such as the sprockets on bicycles and motorcycles. If gears were used in these applications, it would be inconvenient for installation and disassembly, as well as positioning. Gears are commonly used in industrial gearboxes due to their compact structure, allowing for efficient speed changes and enabling transmission along different axes. Although chain sprockets can achieve variable speeds by adjusting the size of the front and rear sprocket teeth, they are limited to transmission along the same axis.   3. Chain sprockets do not require high design precision, such as center distance, and can adapt to different center distances by changing the number of chain links, making maintenance easier. Gears require high machining accuracy, as even a small deviation between two gears can lead to wear and damage if they cannot fully engage.   4. Two chain sprockets only need a chain for transmission, making them lighter and lower in production cost. Gears, on the other hand, often require multiple gears to complete the entire transmission, resulting in higher weight and cost.   5. Chain sprockets have high load-bearing capacity, as their tooth designs have larger lengths and are less likely to disengage from the chain, resulting in less wear on the sprocket teeth. Gears are capable of transmitting large torques.   6. Due to the suitability of chain sprockets for long-distance transmissions, a considerable amount of space is required. In situations with very small center distances, gears are a more suitable choice.   7. Chain sprockets generate more noise, and when operating at very high speeds, they may not be the ideal choice. 8. For garage applications, chain sprockets outperform gears in terms of performance.
